JAS Motorsport has finalized the Tensei, a restomod project based on the Honda NSX. The company plans to produce 35 units, each starting from a donor vehicle provided by the customer. The car features a redesigned 3.5-liter V6 engine developed by Judd Power, which delivers 414 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 305 pound-feet of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
The vehicle's exterior is constructed from carbon fiber designed by Pininfarina, replacing the original aluminum panels. This update includes a flat underfloor and an active rear diffuser. The car has a dry weight of 2,756 pounds and is equipped with Brembo brakes and KW dampers with Dynamic Damping Control. These modifications allow for electronic suspension adjustments beyond the capabilities of the stock model.
Pricing for the conversion starts at €880 000, excluding the cost of the donor car, taxes, and additional customization options. The project is an independent effort by JAS Motorsport and is not directly affiliated with Honda. The finished Tensei is scheduled to make its public debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. No information regarding a broader distribution network or dealer rollout has been provided by the manufacturer.
