Jacobs Solutions has introduced a digital twin platform for AI data centers, developed using NVIDIA Omniverse libraries. The announcement was made by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang during the GTC 2026 keynote on March 16. The platform is currently being deployed at a research and development facility in the United States.
The solution utilizes the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX blueprint to simulate computing, power, cooling, and water management systems. By integrating these elements into a single layer, Jacobs aims to identify inefficiencies and reduce energy consumption. The first module is now available, with plans to release additional modules in the future.
Future updates will include standardized reference designs for facilities ranging from 250-megawatt setups to gigawatt-scale installations. Jacobs is leveraging its existing partnerships with NVIDIA, Hut 8, and PsiQuantum to refine the platform. The project has been in development since 2025.
Following the announcement, Jacobs Solutions shares rose 0.9% in after-hours trading on the NYSE, where the company trades under the ticker J. The firm reported a fiscal 2025 backlog of $26,3 billion, representing a 21% increase year-over-year, which highlights the growing demand for advanced facility engineering.
