Students from ITMO University have developed a prototype called Avito AI Reviewer to assist in evaluating educational assignments for Avito. The tool is designed to automate the initial review process, including task distribution, criteria-based analysis, and the generation of feedback drafts for human experts.

The project involved 12 competing teams, with the winning solution created by Anna Kurdina, Nikita Koshelev, and Ivan Chernov. The system assigns tasks to reviewers based on their specialization and current workload, while the final grading remains the responsibility of human experts.

Internal testing showed that the AI processes one assignment in an average of 82.9 seconds at a cost of approximately 0.41 RUB per run. Currently, Avito experts spend 5–10 hours per week on manual grading, a duration the company aims to reduce through this automation.

The developers plan to continue refining the prototype throughout the semester and will test the solution on real educational cohorts. Avito intends to integrate the most effective features of the AI tool into its daily operational workflows.
