Isomorphic Labs, a developer of AI-driven drug discovery tools, is currently in preliminary negotiations to raise new capital. According to reports from October 8, 2026, the company is seeking a valuation of at least $40 billion, which could potentially increase to $50 billion.

The startup, which spun out of Google DeepMind in 2021, previously held a valuation of approximately $17.5 billion. This new round follows a $2.1 billion Series B funding in May 2026 and a $600 million Series A in March 2025, bringing total disclosed external funding to about $2.7 billion.

Key investors in the company include Thrive Capital, Alphabet, and the UK Sovereign AI Fund. The firm, led by CEO Demis Hassabis, utilizes its proprietary IsoDDE platform, which is based on DeepMind’s AlphaFold technology for predicting protein structures.

Isomorphic Labs maintains partnerships with pharmaceutical companies including Eli Lilly, Novartis, and Johnson & Johnson. Agreements with Eli Lilly and Novartis, established in 2024, include potential milestone payments exceeding a combined $3 billion, contingent upon reaching specific development goals.

Despite its high valuation, the company has not yet released clinical data or treated any patients. The startup has established operations in the US and Switzerland and aims to initiate its first human clinical trials by the end of 2026.
