Intuit is addressing the gap between traditional accounting education and the evolving requirements of the industry. As artificial intelligence automates routine financial tasks, the company emphasizes that entry-level roles are shifting toward client advisory services, which require communication, problem-solving, and professional judgment.
To support this transition, Intuit launched the Accounting Futures program. This free curriculum, developed in collaboration with educators and accountants, integrates AI fluency modules with training in durable skills. Students work with QuickBooks case studies based on real-world scenarios to prepare for direct client interaction.
The program also includes paid micro-internships that can last as little as 10 hours. Additionally, Intuit introduced the Intuit Industry Advisors initiative to further strengthen ties with accounting firms. These efforts aim to ensure that new graduates are prepared to provide value in advisory roles from their first day on the job.
