Intel is developing the new Core Ultra 4000 series mobile processors based on the Nova Lake architecture. The flagship Core Ultra 9 4995HX model will feature 28 cores, while the Core Ultra 9 4970H will offer 16 cores. The first laptops equipped with these chips are expected to debut at CES 2027.

The Core Ultra 9 4995HX utilizes an 8+16+4 configuration, comprising eight Coyote Cove performance cores, 16 Arctic Wolf efficiency cores, and four low-power LP-E cores. This processor is designed for high-performance gaming laptops and mobile workstations, featuring 144 MB of cache and two Xe3 graphics cores.

The Core Ultra 9 4970H targets thinner, energy-efficient devices with a 4+8+4 core layout. Unlike the HX variant, this model includes up to 12 Xe3P graphics cores. The Nova Lake-HX series will be manufactured using the TSMC N2P process, with power consumption ranging from 55 W to 160 W.

For the Nova Lake-H series, the base power consumption is rated at 28 W, with a maximum reaching 115 W. These specifications were disclosed by insider Jaykihn, who previously provided accurate details on Arrow Lake-H mobile CPUs and Core Ultra 200S NPU performance metrics.
