Intel has initiated a new round of price increases across multiple processor lines, including Panther Lake, Arrow Lake, Meteor Lake, Alder Lake, and Twin Lake. While the adjustments were originally scheduled for October, implementation began in September.
The Panther Lake series faces the most significant impact, with high-end integrated graphics models seeing price hikes of 15% to 20%. Other lines, such as Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake, have experienced increases of 5% to 10%, while entry-level Twin Lake and 12th-gen Alder Lake chips have risen by 10% to 20%.
Qualcomm has also joined the trend, raising prices for its Snapdragon X and Snapdragon X2 Elite platforms by approximately 10% starting October 1. Industry analysts suggest that rising manufacturing costs at TSMC, driven by high demand for advanced process nodes and AI hardware, are the primary drivers.
AMD is reportedly evaluating potential price adjustments for its Ryzen and EPYC processor families. While no official plan has been announced, industry expectations point to a possible 10% increase for select models. These shifts may lead to higher costs for consumer PCs, AI-ready devices, and servers.
