Software engineer Hank demonstrated a workflow connecting a Meta Quest 3 headset with a Bambu Lab P2S 3D printer equipped with an AMS 2 multi-color system. The setup allows users to virtually throw 3D models from the VR environment directly to the printer.
The integration relies on the printer's local API. Hank built a web server on his computer to bridge the connection between the Android-based VR application and the printing hardware. This custom pipeline enables seamless communication between the devices.
The developer utilized OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra model to assist in writing the code for this integration. While the project is not yet available on GitHub, the creator has expressed willingness to release the code publicly if there is sufficient interest from the community.
