Instinct, a startup developing AI agents, has secured $1 billion in a Series C funding round. This investment brings the company's total valuation to $10 billion. The round included participation from Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital, and Coatue.
The company previously announced a fundraising event just one month ago, which valued the business at $2.5 billion. Instinct launched its invite-only service in August 2026. The platform operates via SMS and text messaging and does not currently have a dedicated mobile application.
The AI agent is designed to perform tasks such as booking travel, making restaurant reservations, paying bills, and ordering groceries. Recent feature updates include a concierge service for making phone calls and a network allowing agents to coordinate plans with other users' agents.
Instinct faces competition from Meta’s AI assistant, Muse, which integrates with social platforms like Instagram and Facebook. Muse has reached the top of U.S. app stores with millions of downloads. Instinct has not disclosed its specific user numbers or growth metrics.
