Infosecurity Service, a subsidiary of Softline, has received accreditation from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The company is now authorized to assess the cybersecurity of onboard computer systems and networks.
This accreditation allows the company to assign a cyber-protection class to vessels. Infosecurity Service is one of only five organizations in Russia currently holding this authorization.
The assessment process utilizes a proprietary methodology that integrates requirements from the Russian Maritime Register, the International Maritime Organization, and the International Association of Classification Societies.
Vessels passing the audit can receive the CYBER-A class notation. This certification helps shipowners comply with international standards, avoid port control detentions, and potentially reduce insurance premiums.
