Infleqtion announced the achievement of 30 entangled logical qubits on its commercial Sqale platform. The company utilized 80 physical qubits to reach this result, demonstrating an efficiency ratio of 8 physical qubits per 3 logical qubits using a distance-3 error-correcting code.
The milestone was presented on September 24, 2026, at the Quantum World Congress following experiments completed in August. This performance marks a progression from 2 logical qubits in 2024 and 12 in 2025. The demonstration involved an IQP circuit executing approximately 1,000 physical quantum operations.
The system relies on hardware-software co-design, incorporating AI-assisted techniques for real-time tuning and integration with NVIDIA CUDA-Q Logical framework and qLDPC library. Infleqtion states this is the first such result for a neutral-atom commercial quantum system.
The company, which trades on the NYSE under the ticker INFQ, has installed a 100-physical-qubit system at the UK National Quantum Computing Centre. Infleqtion has set future performance targets of 100 logical qubits by 2028 and over 1,000 logical qubits by 2030.
