iFi audio has unveiled the UP Travel Max, a compact Bluetooth DAC featuring a foldable design, 10-hour battery life, and support for high-resolution audio codecs.

The new UP Travel Max from iFi audio features a compact design inspired by foldable car keys, including a pop-out 3.5mm jack. The device is similar in size to a standard flash drive and offers a battery life of 10 hours.

The hardware is built around a Qualcomm Bluetooth chip and a Cirrus Logic 32-bit DAC. It supports Bluetooth 5.4, Auracast, and various audio codecs such as aptX Lossless, LDAC, and aptX Adaptive. Additionally, it integrates JVCKENWOOD K2 technology for audio quality reconstruction.

Technical specifications for the device include a total harmonic distortion plus noise of less than or equal to 0.004 percent at 1kHz under a 32 ohm load. The signal-to-noise ratio is at least 120dB, with an RMS output power of 70mW at 1.5V.
