The Commodore 64C, a legendary personal computer model, is returning to the market. The team managing the brand announced a new version of the device that utilizes original production assets from the 1980s to provide an authentic experience for retro computing enthusiasts.

A key feature of the new model is the use of original injection molds from 1986 to manufacture the chassis. The team spent months collecting historical inventory, including keycap molds and unused components, which were then refurbished and modernized to meet current manufacturing standards.

Unlike emulator-based devices, the new Commodore 64C is designed to run native C64 software and games. While maintaining the classic beige aesthetic and keyboard layout, the computer incorporates modern interfaces to ensure compatibility with contemporary displays and peripherals.

The original Commodore 64 launched in 1982 and achieved sales of tens of millions of units, becoming one of the most successful computer models in history. The 1986 Commodore 64C version was known for its slimmer design and remains a representative model for many users.
