Japanese equipment manufacturer I-O DATA has announced a price increase for 32 models of LCD monitors and various other devices. The new pricing structure will take effect on October 1, 2026, with individual product price hikes reaching up to 25 percent.
The company stated that the decision was driven by rising costs for semiconductor components and raw materials. Additionally, the manufacturer cited increased expenses related to fuel and transportation, noting that these external economic pressures have made it impossible to maintain current price levels through internal cost-cutting measures alone.
The price adjustments vary by product category. Large-format LCD monitors will see increases between 4.4 and 15.4 percent, while gaming monitors will rise by 6.1 to 14.5 percent. Medical imaging reference monitors are set for a price hike of 9.8 to 12.8 percent.
Other affected hardware includes monitor stands, which will cost 8.6 to 19.5 percent more, and video signal capture devices, increasing by 10.5 to 19.5 percent. The highest adjustment applies to the company's Android set-top box, which will see a price increase of 25 percent.
