Hyundai has launched the Ioniq V electric fastback in China, with prices starting at approximately $14 820. The vehicle features a 4900 mm length and a 2900 mm wheelbase, offering front-wheel drive with 250 Nm of torque across all configurations.
The model comes in two power variants: 140 kW with a 53.48 kWh CATL LFP battery providing a 540 km range, and 168 kW with a 66.85 kWh battery offering a 650 km range. Both figures are based on the CLTC cycle, with energy consumption rated at 11.1 kWh per 100 km.
Hyundai offers a lifetime warranty for the first owner covering the battery, motor, and electronic control system. The company guarantees a full battery replacement if capacity drops by more than 30% within the first eight years or 160 000 km, or in the event of spontaneous combustion.
The interior includes a 27-inch 4K display, a heat pump air conditioning system, and a 465-liter trunk. The vehicle integrates AI assistants from Doubao and Baidu, Dolby Atmos audio, and Momenta driver assistance systems for highway navigation and automated parking.
Hyundai plans to extend this lifetime warranty program to all future electric vehicles sold in the Chinese market. The Ioniq V is available in five trim levels, with the Max+ versions featuring advanced driver assistance systems as standard equipment.
