Hyundai has launched the Ioniq V electric sedan in China, marking the first production model under the Ioniq brand in the country. The vehicle is built on the E-GMP platform and features a fastback design with frameless doors. It measures 4,900 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,470 mm in height, with a 2,900 mm wheelbase.

The sedan is available in 5 variants with limited-time prices ranging from ¥99,900 to ¥131,900. Standard retail prices are set between ¥109,900 and ¥139,900. The entry-level price is ¥20,000 lower than the pre-sale price announced at the Chengdu Auto Show in August.

The vehicle uses CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries with capacities of 53.48 kWh and 66.85 kWh, providing a CLTC range of up to 650 km. It supports 800-volt fast charging and offers single-motor configurations with outputs of 140 kW or 168 kW. The interior includes a 27-inch 4K screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip.

The infotainment system integrates AI models from Baidu and ByteDance, supporting four-zone voice control. Driver assistance is provided by an L2+ system developed with Momenta, featuring highway and urban navigation assistance. Beijing Hyundai is offering a lifetime vehicle warranty and specific battery protection benefits to early buyers.

This launch is part of Hyundai's strategy to introduce 20 battery and extended-range electric vehicle models in China over the next five years. The company aims to reach an annual sales volume of 500,000 vehicles in the Chinese market by 2030 through local development and partnerships.
