Hyperscale Data, an operator of AI data centers and Bitcoin mining facilities, reported that its combined holdings of Bitcoin, cash, and restricted cash reached approximately $51 million as of September 13. This liquidity represents about 136% of the company's market capitalization recorded on the following day.
The company holds 216.9480 BTC, valued at roughly $16.7 million based on a price of $76,838.16 per coin. The remaining $34.3 million is held in cash and restricted cash. These assets are managed through the subsidiary Sentinum, which operates a data center in Michigan for AI hosting and mining.
In late August, Hyperscale Data sold approximately 65 BTC for about $5.1 million to reduce its debt. The company has publicly announced a goal to build a digital asset treasury worth $100 million. Achieving this target would require significant additional Bitcoin acquisitions or a substantial increase in the asset price.
The firm faces notable exposure to market volatility due to its micro-cap status. A 20% decline in the price of Bitcoin would reduce the value of its treasury by approximately $3.3 million. Management intends to use its current liquidity to support ongoing AI infrastructure projects alongside its mining operations.
