Hyperbolic, a startup focused on AI infrastructure, has secured $30 million in a Series A-1 funding round. The investment was led by Walden Catalyst, a firm co-founded by Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan and former Samsung president Young Sohn. This latest injection of capital brings the total amount raised by the San Francisco-based company to $50 million.

The startup counts Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, Vista Equity Partners, Cambium Capital, and Salience Capital among its investors. Additionally, angel investors from Citadel Securities, the New York Stock Exchange, and GPU cloud providers like WhiteFiber and Vector Core Compute participated in the financing.

Hyperbolic operates a platform that connects underutilized GPU capacity across more than 300 cloud providers. The company currently supports over 250,000 developers, including teams from Modal, Higgsfield, Daytona, HeyGen, and Pika, as well as researchers from Stanford and UC Berkeley.

The company’s core product, Forge, serves as a unified control plane for managing AI workloads across different providers. According to reports, the platform currently connects roughly 30 specialized cloud providers, representing about $200 million in annual compute capacity.

The new funds are earmarked for the development of Forge, multi-cloud orchestration, and managed AI services. Hyperbolic also plans to build a global marketplace for computing capacity, aiming to enable the buying and selling of GPU resources to improve infrastructure efficiency.
