The Huawei Video app for HarmonyOS has received an update to version 1.2.30.301. This release integrates content from four major Chinese streaming platforms: iQIYI, Tencent Video, Youku, and Mango TV.

A key improvement involves the integration of iQIYI content. Previously, users were redirected to a separate mini-program, which involved a noticeable transition. The new version removes this jump, allowing users to watch content directly within the Huawei Video interface.

The update also introduces AI-generated summaries in the recommendation section for both smartphones and tablets. These summaries aim to help users quickly understand the plot of a series and make more informed viewing choices.

For platforms like Tencent Video and Youku, the experience is now more native. The interface no longer displays mini-program controls; instead, it provides direct access to features such as casting, picture-in-picture mode, and sleep timers.

Additionally, the app now features a dedicated section for Yangshipin. Users can access most CCTV and satellite channels for free through this section, although 4K content requires a paid subscription and the official Yangshipin app.
