Huawei has updated the list of devices compatible with its new immersive light and particle animation effects in HarmonyOS 7. The company clarified that several older models, including the Mate 60, Mate X5, Mate XT, and Pura 70 series, are currently listed as not supported.

For newer devices, specific software versions are required to enable these visual features. The Mate 70, Mate 70 Air, Pura 90, and Pura 80 series must be updated to HarmonyOS version 7.0.0.105SP10 or higher. Similar requirements apply to the MatePad mini 8.8-inch, MatePad Pro Max, and MatePad Pro 12-inch models.

The HarmonyOS 7 operating system was officially introduced by Huawei Terminal BG CEO He Gang on September 7. The new aesthetic features include light trails that follow finger movements when dragging icons and notification bubbles that disperse into particles when cleared.

The initial rollout of HarmonyOS 7 covers a wide range of devices, including the Mate 80, Mate X7, Mate X6, and nova 16 series. Older models, such as the Mate 60 and Pura 70 series, are scheduled to receive the Beta version update starting in October.
