Huawei executive Yu Chengdong introduced a new multi-device communication sharing feature, which will debut on the upcoming Mate 90 series. The technology allows users to aggregate network resources from multiple Huawei devices by tapping them together, effectively distributing connectivity where it is needed most.

Engineers tested the system on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway using three devices connected to different mobile operators. Results showed that enabling the shared communication feature reduced video call stuttering by 90 percent. The system allows for a maximum of four devices to be linked simultaneously.

Users can activate the tool through the settings menu under the multi-device collaboration and communication sharing sections. Huawei also confirmed that the feature will be rolled out to older smartphone models following the future release of the HarmonyOS 7 operating system.
