Huawei has restored the Super Vehicle Screen feature for its tablets, including the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch model. This functionality, previously known as MagLink, allows tablets running HarmonyOS to connect with vehicle cockpits via magnetic interfaces located behind the seats.
The feature was temporarily removed in HarmonyOS NEXT but returned with the 5.1.0.128 update. In the latest HarmonyOS 7, it has been officially rebranded as Super Vehicle Screen and is accessible through the multi-device collaboration settings menu on the tablet.
The system enables users to share the vehicle's network and grant the car control over the tablet. Key capabilities include synchronized video playback, audio casting, and adjustment of rear-seat comfort settings such as heating, ventilation, massage, and sunshade control.
Functionality varies depending on the specific vehicle model. While the system supports various rear-seat adjustments, it does not allow control over the driver or front-passenger seats. Both devices must have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled for the connection to work.
