Huawei has released the first major firmware update for the Mate 90 Pro Max, which was launched on October 1. The update package is approximately 745 MB in size and introduces new communication features, AI-powered tools, and general system enhancements.
The flagship now supports four phone numbers simultaneously, utilizing two physical SIM slots and two eSIMs. Users can keep three of these numbers in standby mode at once for calls, messaging, and mobile data. Additionally, the text-to-call feature has been expanded to support third-party social applications.
The Gallery app received significant AI upgrades, including intelligent photo editing based on text prompts and a tool that converts standard or Live photos into 3D Dynamic Photos. The video editor can now automatically generate clips from selected media, complete with virtual camera movements and music, alongside a dedicated audio enhancement tool.
New social and system features include the Intimate Circle, which allows users to share health data, schedules, and weather with family, as well as remotely assist others via screen sharing. The system also introduces real-time notification parsing and a proximity-based friend finder for location sharing.
