Huawei has released the September experience report for HarmonyOS PCs, detailing updates such as AI photo editing, immersive lighting effects, and the Celia task mode. The system now includes dynamic wallpapers, remote sharing, and enhanced memory management technologies.

The company has launched the public beta for the HarmonyOS PC version of DevEco Studio, which became available on October 8, 2026. This suite includes DevEco Code and DevEco CLI, designed to streamline the development, debugging, and deployment process for HarmonyOS applications.

DevEco Code integrates GLM5.3 and GLM5.1 models, supporting custom third-party configurations. The tools are compatible with HUAWEI MateBook Pro and MateBook Fold models, requiring HarmonyOS 7.0.0.107 or higher, at least 16GB of RAM, and 100GB of storage.

The Celia task mode features a multi-agent architecture with over 2,300 skills across four categories. It supports autonomous planning and execution for tasks like email management and browser control, with WebAgent success rates reportedly matching human performance.

Huawei is expanding its hardware lineup with the upcoming launch of the Qingyun HM650 desktop series, scheduled for October 2026. This device will feature the proprietary Kirin X90 chip and is targeted at commercial sectors including government, finance, and energy.
