Huawei has expanded the availability of a custom desktop swipe feature, previously exclusive to the Mate XT 2 tri-fold smartphone. Users can now configure swipe-down gestures to trigger Celia Search, open the notification center, or access the control center.
The Pura X View smartphone received this functionality via the HarmonyOS 7.0.0.107 SP8 update. Users can manage these settings through the desktop configuration menu. However, the update removes the option to completely disable the swipe-down gesture once a custom action is selected.
The update also introduces particle animations for the balanced mode in the immersive light settings, affecting actions like removing icons or adjusting volume. Additionally, the night mode now includes specific scenes for starry sky and starry sky portrait photography.
The MeeTime real-time intercom feature now includes a friend-finding tool. This allows users to locate nearby contacts during real-time location sharing, providing guidance to meet up in outdoor or indoor environments.
