HP has unveiled the ZBook Ultra G3a 16 mobile workstation, developed in collaboration with AMD. The device features the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor, which includes 16 cores, 32 threads, and a clock speed of up to 5.2 GHz. The chip integrates Radeon 8065S graphics with 40 compute units and an NPU capable of 55 TOPS.

The laptop supports up to 192 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory, with up to 160 GB allocatable to the integrated GPU. Memory is soldered to the motherboard, preventing post-purchase upgrades. HP specifies memory speeds of up to 8000 MT/s for the 128 GB and 192 GB configurations.

The workstation includes a 16-inch display with options ranging from 1920 x 1200 to 3840 x 2400 resolution, plus a 2880 x 1800 OLED touchscreen. High-end panels support refresh rates up to 120 Hz. The chassis is 17.9 mm thick and weighs starting at 1.9 kg, featuring a cooling system rated for 100 W.

HP integrated Perplexity Computer software to enable local AI model processing for models up to 300 billion parameters. The system supports professional software like Autodesk Revit 2027 and 3ds Max. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7, and an optional 5G modem, with storage via a single M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 slot supporting up to 8 TB.

The laptop is powered by a 96 Wh user-replaceable battery. While pricing remains undisclosed, the device is scheduled for market release in October. Performance testing of the final retail units is expected following the official launch.
