HotSpot Portal is a platform for managed guest Wi-Fi services designed for telecom operators and system integrators. It allows providers to deploy the system within their own infrastructure and offer it to business clients under their own brand. The platform supports multi-tenancy, enabling operators to manage multiple client organizations and locations through a single interface.
The system ensures compliance with Russian legislation, specifically Federal Law No. 126-FZ and Government Decree No. 2606, by identifying users via mobile phone numbers, MAX, or VK. It functions as a technical gateway, managing sessions and storing logs of connection times, IP and MAC addresses, and RADIUS accounting. The platform also handles personal data processing in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ.
The architecture includes a web interface, a Go-based application, a database, and task queues. Access points connect to the platform via WireGuard tunnels to secure RADIUS and management traffic. The system is hardware-agnostic, supporting devices like MikroTik and OpenWrt, and can run on various platforms, from ARM-based devices like Raspberry Pi 4 to enterprise servers.
Business clients receive a branded portal with customizable logos, colors, and authentication methods. The platform provides analytics on connections, visitor history, and repeat visits. It also includes tools for managing staff roles and executing marketing campaigns, provided that users have given explicit consent for advertising in compliance with Federal Law No. 38-FZ.
Licensing is based on the number of connected access points, managed by a separate service that does not process guest traffic. The platform includes diagnostic tools, such as DNS logging for network analysis, and allows for remote synchronization of access point configurations. This model transforms guest Wi-Fi from a one-time router setup into a recurring managed service.
