The B20 engine is a four-cylinder internal combustion engine designed for classic and plug-in hybrids. Depending on the version, it delivers between 190 and 252 hp up to 380 Nm of torque. The unit weighs approximately 130 kg.

To enable underwater operation, engineers sealed the electrical components and sensors, and developed a special seal at the connection point between the engine and the transmission. The electronics can detect immersion in water, and the control unit adjusts the accelerator response and limits power to reduce load during wading.

The B20 is also designed for extreme slopes. The manufacturer claims it can handle climbs of up to 100%, which corresponds to an angle of approximately 45 degrees.

The engine operates on the Miller cycle and uses direct fuel injection, special pistons, and intake ports that create intense swirl of the fuel-air mixture. The maximum claimed thermal efficiency is 48.4% in the optimal operating mode.

The B20 engine has already entered serial production. It first appears in the Geely Galaxy Cruiser 700 flagship SUV, paired with a Horse three-speed hybrid transmission.
