Honeyjar, a startup co-founded by Michelle Masek and Nadia Jamshidi, has introduced an AI-powered platform designed to automate public relations and communications workflows. The tool assists users with drafting announcements, identifying relevant journalists for pitches, and discovering speaking opportunities.
The platform aims to consolidate communications tasks, including media list management, news monitoring, and coverage tracking. According to the founders, the system is designed to integrate strategic judgment into the workflow, helping users determine the timing and appropriateness of their outreach.
The company reported 10,000 signups within the first 24 hours of opening its waitlist. Current beta testers for the service include Nextdoor, Coco Robotics, Bloomberg Beta, Mission North, and Full Picture.
Honeyjar is participating in the Startup Battlefield 200 at TechCrunch Disrupt. The founders emphasize that the tool is intended to enhance the efficiency of PR professionals and internal teams rather than replace them, with training initiatives like the Comms Lab aimed at refining the AI's decision-making capabilities.
