Honda is adjusting its quality control systems to balance rapid technological development with vehicle reliability. The company aims to compete with rivals in software and ADAS sectors without compromising consumer trust.
Eiji Fujimura, CEO of Honda America, stated that the company prioritizes quality checks at every development stage. No project moves to the next phase until the current one passes rigorous quality verification.
Noriyuki Kaihara, Executive Vice President of Honda, emphasized that the company's quality department operates independently from all other divisions. This department holds final authority over the implementation of new technologies.
The company also focuses on rapid incident response. Honda management believes that failing to address hardware or software defects promptly can severely damage brand reputation and customer loyalty.
