Holtec Nuclear Corp. has filed an amended S-1 registration statement with the SEC to raise up to $900 million. The company intends to offer approximately 50 million shares at a price range between $15 and $18 per share. At the upper end of this valuation, the firm would be worth approximately $10.2 billion.

The IPO is managed by J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup. The company plans to list its shares on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol HNUC. For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, Holtec reported $559.92 million in revenue and $453.89 million in net income, largely generated from its spent fuel storage and decommissioning operations.

The company is currently restarting the Palisades Nuclear Generating Station in Michigan, an 800-plus megawatt facility. This project marks the first commercial reactor restart in US history, with fuel loading commencing on August 30, 2026, and a full restart expected in early 2027.

Proceeds from the offering will support the development of the proprietary SMR-300 small modular reactor design. In December 2025, the company received a $400 million Tier 1 grant from the Department of Energy to advance this program, with initial deployments projected for the early 2030s.
