Hey Wallet, a social wallet service built on the Solana blockchain, has announced it is shutting down. The company did not provide a specific date for the termination of services or the reasons behind the decision.

The platform, which launched in 2021 following a Solana hackathon, allowed users to send SOL via X handles, tip creators on Discord, swap tokens on Telegram, and mint NFTs.

Users are advised to visit heywallet.com to export their private keys or seed phrases. These credentials can be imported into compatible Solana wallets such as Phantom or Solflare to secure their assets.

The company emphasized that tokens are stored on the blockchain rather than on its servers, meaning assets remain safe if users complete the migration process before the service goes offline.

Hey Wallet joins other services that have ceased operations this year, including HaHa Wallet and the ME Wallet from Magic Eden.
