Hark, a startup founded less than a year ago by Brett Adcock, has launched Hark Pro, an AI-powered personal assistant. The service is available in a free version, with a subscription tier offered for heavy users.
The platform is designed to function as an operating system for AI computers. It is built on a model specifically trained for computer use, allowing the assistant to perform tasks such as managing emails, calendars, and expenses by accessing a user's digital data.
The interface features a central chat dialog and personalized dashboards called panels. To build user trust, the software displays the agent's web navigation process in a small window, showing how it completes tasks end-to-end.
The company emphasizes privacy, stating that its focus is on task-related assistance rather than data profiling or advertising. Hark aims to differentiate itself by providing more reliable results compared to existing AI assistants.
Beyond the software, Hark plans to release an AI-native hardware device in 2027. The company has not disclosed specific details about the device's form factor, noting only that it will be a novel product.
