Electric truck manufacturer Harbinger has successfully closed a Series D funding round, securing $240 million. This latest capital injection brings the company's total funding to more than $650 million since its inception in 2021.

The investment round was co-led by Tiger Global, the Capricorn Technology Impact Fund, and Ridgeline. The company plans to allocate these funds toward expanding its manufacturing capacity for its medium-duty vehicle platform.

Beyond vehicle production, Harbinger intends to use the new capital to develop energy storage systems, power generation technologies, and autonomy software. The company is also targeting growth in defense-related applications.

Harbinger recently secured a significant contract with FedEx, valued at $300 million, for the delivery of 2,000 medium-duty electric trucks. Additionally, the company has entered into a defense contract with the US military.
