Great Wall Motor has unveiled the Tank 700 Long-Wheelbase Edition (LWB) through a regulatory filing with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The vehicle measures 5,445 mm in length with a 3,150 mm wheelbase, expanding the standard five-seat model to a six-seat configuration with a 2+2+2 layout and second-row captain's chairs.

The LWB version offers two powertrain options: a 2.0T Hi4-Z plug-in hybrid with a 59.05 kWh battery and a 3.0T V6 engine. The SUV's curb weight ranges from 3,396 to 3,480 kg, and it is certified for a braked towing capacity of 2,500 kg.

Exterior features include angular wheel arches, a side-hinged rear cargo door, and a roof spoiler with driver-assistance cameras. The model will be available with 20-inch or 22-inch wheel options. The MIIT filing also listed a standard-wheelbase Tank 700 with a 3.0T V6 and optional GF badging.

The Tank 700 LWB competes directly with the BYD Yangwang U8L, which is 5,400 mm long with a 3,250 mm wheelbase and a six-seat layout. While the U8L has a curb weight of approximately 3,595 kg, the Tank 700 LWB is slightly longer. Retail pricing and a showroom release date have not yet been announced by GWM.
