Students specializing in information security at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas completed an advanced training program. The curriculum focused on building secure virtual networks using S-Terra version 5.0 products integrated with Alt Virtualization from Basealt SPO.
The training, based on the Shifrovalshchik course, emphasized practical engineering skills. Experts from S-Terra conducted the final assessment, resulting in 94% of participants receiving personalized certificates.
Participants implemented complex scenarios, including site-to-site connections via CLI, remote access configuration, and centralized infrastructure management. They also worked on high availability through gateway clustering and traffic encryption at the data link layer.
The Alt Virtualization platform provided the technical foundation for the project. It enabled the deployment of real S-Terra solutions, granting each of the four academic groups access to isolated and scalable virtual testing environments.
