The self-custodial trading platform Grvt has executed its first token buyback, removing 1.1 million GRVT tokens from circulation. This amount represents nearly 1% of the total circulating supply. The company intends to perform further discretionary buybacks on a monthly basis, with all transactions verifiable through a public on-chain dashboard.
This initiative serves as the first of five milestones leading to the launch of Grvt 2.0, scheduled for the end of November 2026. The platform plans to introduce Grvt Earn in late October, offering yield opportunities on tokenized fixed-income assets with target yields of up to 11%.
In November 2026, the company will launch Stable Funding Perps, which are perpetual futures for commodities, stocks, and indices with zero trading fees. The Yield as Margin feature will also arrive in November, allowing users to use balances from Grvt Earn to support trading positions while continuing to accrue yield.
Grvt 2.0 will consolidate these features into a single application, featuring a rebranding and a 2027 roadmap. The company aims to list over 1,000 markets by the end of December 2026. Grvt was founded in 2022 and currently supports perpetual futures across approximately 200 markets.
