GromaCorp has introduced GromaCoin (GRO), the first permissioned asset to operate on the Uniswap v4 automated market maker. Launched on November 5, 2026, the token is an ERC-3643 security token issued on the Base network. It represents fractional ownership in a US-regulated real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on multifamily residential properties in Greater Boston and Providence.
The asset utilizes the Permissioned Pools framework, which Uniswap announced on July 23, 2026. This system allows issuers to manage allowlists and perform onchain compliance checks. As a result, only verified, accredited investors can trade in the GRO/USDC pool. The token standard embeds KYC and eligibility rules, preventing transfers to unapproved wallets.
Investors can mint or redeem GRO at its net asset value, ensuring the onchain price remains anchored to the underlying real estate holdings. The trust holds assets valued at nearly $95 million with a yield of approximately 3.74%. Holders can also use GRO as collateral to borrow USDC through a partnership with Birch Hill and Morpho.
The lending arrangement currently features a starting supply cap of $5 million. This structure allows investors to maintain their position while accessing liquidity or collecting dividends derived from rental income. The integration combines regulated property exposure with decentralized finance mechanics, though access remains strictly limited to qualified participants.
