Google has launched Gmail Live, a voice-based search feature powered by the Gemini AI model, for Google Workspace users. The rollout began on October 15 for Android and iOS platforms and is expected to be completed within two weeks.
The tool allows users to ask questions about their emails using natural language, such as tracking order statuses or checking flight details. The system provides answers based on email content and displays source cards to verify information.
Gmail Live is enabled by default for organizations with existing Gemini access. It is available across various tiers, including Business, Enterprise, Frontline, and Nonprofits plans, as well as specific AI add-on subscriptions.
Individual subscribers to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans also have access to the feature. Currently, the service is limited to users in the United States with their account language set to English.
