Google is expanding its Ask Play chatbot, originally launched in 2025, into a broader search tool for apps and games. The system now provides recommendations and comparison charts, with similar functionality coming to Gemini. Additionally, the new Game Finder feature utilizes usage data from 1,2 billion Android users to create a Gamer DNA profile, matching users with similar gaming habits.

Users can refine their Gamer DNA by rating titles and adjusting tags. The feature offers curated playlists and contextual lists based on game mechanics. Game Finder is currently available in the US, with a global rollout planned for the near future. Google intends to allow more specific natural language prompts for game discovery as the system develops.

Google is also introducing a direct integration between AI Studio and the Play Store for vibe-coded apps. Users can upload these applications to a private library without needing a developer account or manual APK handling. These apps are not subject to Google review and can be shared with a small group of contacts.

For wider distribution, Google will offer an onboarding process to convert private vibe-coded apps into public ones. Transitioning to a public profile requires adherence to standard Google Play review guidelines. The private app feature is launching today in the US and select markets, with public migration tools arriving in the coming months.
