Google is preparing to launch the Fitbit Edge fitness tracker, which will retail in Europe for €179. This price point is €20 higher than the previous Fitbit Charge 6 model. The device features an aluminum body and will be available in four different color combinations.

The tracker is equipped with a 1.34-inch AMOLED display with an always-on mode that lasts up to 2 days. With the feature disabled, the battery life extends to 7 days. Charging takes 2 hours, while a 5-minute quick charge provides 24 hours of usage. Notably, the device includes a user-replaceable battery.

The Fitbit Edge runs on Fitbit OS and supports Bluetooth 5.4 and GPS. It is compatible with Android 11 or higher and iOS 16.4 or higher. The device tracks heart rate, sleep, skin temperature, SpO2, and ECG. It also monitors atrial fibrillation, irregular heart rhythms, menstrual cycles, cardiac load, and VO2 max, alongside blood pressure and insulin resistance trends.

A key feature is the integration of the Gemini AI personalized coach, offering custom fitness plans and real-time guidance. The tracker supports over 40 exercise modes with automatic activity recognition and altitude tracking. Access to some features may require a Google Health Premium subscription.
