Google has begun rolling out the AI Inbox feature for paid Google Workspace users, extending it beyond its initial US-based English-language availability. The tool is designed to automatically extract tasks and generate summaries of email threads to help users track project progress and deadlines.

The AI Inbox functionality is accessible on both the Gmail web interface and mobile applications. It is currently limited to users in the United States with their account language set to English. Supported plans include Business Starter, Standard, and Plus, as well as Enterprise tiers, AI Pro for Education, and Frontline Plus.

A notable limitation is the absence of administrative controls. Google confirmed that Workspace administrators cannot disable the AI Inbox feature for their organizations once it becomes available. This applies to all eligible accounts regardless of their specific subscription plan.

The deployment follows two distinct schedules. Domains using the Rapid Release strategy began receiving the update four days ago, with a rollout period of up to 15 days. For those on the Scheduled Release track, the update will commence on October 26, also spanning up to 15 days for full implementation.
