Google has introduced two new models, Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking, designed to improve enterprise voice agents. The first model focuses on scalability and cost efficiency, while the second is optimized for handling complex tasks at a competitive price point.

Both models feature advancements in near real-time reasoning to make AI conversations more intuitive. These tools provide developers and enterprises with the necessary components to build production-ready voice agents, while also enhancing the user experience across the Gemini app, Google Workspace, and Search.

The company also recently launched voice AI features for Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Keep on September 3. These tools allow users to search emails, create documents through real-time conversation, and structure notes by speaking directly to the applications.

The integration of voice technology is increasingly seen as essential infrastructure for agentic commerce. Investors are showing growing confidence in high-fidelity conversational AI, viewing voice as a critical middleware that reduces friction during consumer transactions.
