Google has integrated its flagship AI model, Gemini 4 Argon, into the Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscription plans. Users can now access the model for $20 per month, though specific developer tools remain restricted to the higher-tier plan.
Gemini 4 Argon, introduced in late September, is designed for complex tasks in programming and cybersecurity. As of October 13, it is available within the Gemini app and the AI Mode in Google Search. The model offers improved performance in long-running tasks, more direct responses, and better adherence to user style requirements.
The update includes new features for the macOS Gemini app, such as the Google Antigravity interface for AI agents working with code. Users can switch between chat and task execution, with the latter allowing the AI to continue working independently. However, access to Antigravity and Android Studio Canary remains exclusive to AI Ultra subscribers.
Developers can access Gemini 4 Argon via API. Until November 30, pricing is set at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Following this introductory period, rates will increase to $4 and $20 per million tokens, respectively.
