Google has introduced a new personal library feature within Google AI Studio, allowing users to publish AI-generated Android apps for private use. This initiative removes the requirement for a paid developer account for these specific applications.

The apps created through this tool remain private and are excluded from public search results and Play Store recommendations. The feature is currently available to users aged 18 and older in the United States and select international markets.

Despite the private nature of these apps, they must still comply with standard Google Play policies. The company plans to introduce limited sharing capabilities in the future, enabling users to distribute their apps to friends and family.

Google also intends to provide a pathway for users to transition from the personal library to a full public developer account. This process will require passing standard Trust and Safety reviews.
