Copenhagen-based AI transcription firm Good Tape has secured new funding from Nordic Makers. The investment round was led by Alexander Aghassipour, a former Zendesk executive who has now joined the company board. The capital injection coincides with a management buyout that saw CEO Lasse Finderup acquire the stake previously held by the Danish media company Zetland, making Good Tape an independent entity.

The company, which serves 3 million users across 150 countries, has processed over 15 million transcriptions in more than 100 languages. Its client base includes journalists, researchers, consultants, and lawyers. To ensure data privacy, the platform maintains ISO 27001 certification and GDPR compliance, while committing to not training its AI models on customer data.

Good Tape has launched Explore, a new feature designed to connect current recordings with a user's historical archive. The tool identifies contradictions, changes in opinion, and supporting arguments across multiple interviews. While the feature is currently free to use, the company plans to introduce pricing in the future as it scales the tool for organizational memory management.

The product suite also includes a simplified Recorder app and speaker labeling, with voice fingerprinting currently in development. These tools aim to streamline workflows by allowing users to move directly from recording to integration with LLMs like Claude or GPT. The company recently launched the Names campaign and a grant program for independent journalists.
