GoldZip, an entity linked to the Hong Kong Gold Exchange, has integrated the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for its XGZ token. The project, announced on October 27, 2026, aims to enable secure transfers of the gold-backed asset across multiple blockchain networks.

The XGZ token, which launched in December 2025, represents one gram of 99.99% fine gold stored in accredited vaults. Holders can redeem tokens for physical gold bars, provided they meet a minimum threshold of 1,000 tokens and pass AML/KYC verification procedures.

As of late October 2026, the circulating supply of XGZ reached approximately 39,000 tokens, with a market capitalization of about $5 million. The asset is currently available for trading on both the Uniswap decentralized exchange and the MEXC centralized platform.

In October 2026, the issuer transitioned to GoldZip Company Limited, based in the British Virgin Islands, without requiring a token migration for holders. The company now plans to increase its physical gold reserves to $300 million, targeting a sixtyfold growth in market capitalization.
