The Genesis Magma GT concept recently appeared at the Tutto Bene Hillclimb event in Italy. The mid-engined coupe features a twin-turbocharged 3.2-liter V8 engine, which shares components with the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit from the Hyundai i20 N WRC rally car.

This powertrain is currently utilized in a hybridized form within the GMR-001 LMDh prototype for the World Endurance Championship. The non-hybridized version of the engine in the Magma GT is capable of producing up to 800 hp, positioning the vehicle as a competitor to the Chevrolet Corvette, McLaren Artura, and Ferrari 296 GTB.

Genesis is exploring potential variants for the model, including a roadster, a track-focused version, and a GT3 race car. While the company has not confirmed a release date, reports indicate that the production model may reach the market in 2027 or 2028. The brand also showcased the X Skorpio rally-raid concept at the event.
