The GeForce RTX 5090 is becoming increasingly difficult to find at its official MSRP of $2000. On major US marketplaces, individual units are now listed at prices ranging from $7000 to $9000, despite Nvidia maintaining its original pricing guidance.

Retailers like Newegg are seeing a shift toward premium bundles. An Asus 20th Anniversary kit, which includes a ROG Astral RTX 5090, a motherboard, a 3000W power supply, and a chassis, is priced at $10 850. Meanwhile, third-party sellers on the platform offer standalone cards like the MSI Ventus for $6700 and various Asus ROG Astral models between $8699 and $9659.

Availability varies significantly by retailer. Micro Center stores have limited stock with prices between $4400 and $5300, requiring in-store pickup. At Best Buy, Asus ROG Astral and TUF Gaming variants are currently listed at $7500.

Market analysts point to high demand from AI system integrators as a primary driver of the shortage. Reports indicate that significant quantities of consumer-grade RTX 5090 cards are being diverted for use in AI server builds, further constraining supply for individual consumers.
