The Gazinformservice company is hosting its 'Cyber Arena 2026' event on September 30 and October 1 at the VK Play Arena in Moscow. The competition features a cyber range where Red Team attackers face off against Blue Team investigators across four distinct infrastructures: University, Oil and Gas, Banking, and Government.

Eight Red Teams have the freedom to choose their targets and attack sequences, while four Blue Teams are assigned to monitor specific infrastructures. The defenders must identify attacks using standard security tools and reconstruct the attackers' actions. Notably, Blue Teams do not perform active incident response, such as blocking attackers or modifying system configurations.

This third edition of the event introduces artificial intelligence to simulate normal network activity and enable agents to adapt their behavior during incidents. The competition requires participants to complete specific Cyber Kill Chain stages and submit detailed reports to judges to confirm their findings.

The event will feature three live broadcasts from the Moscow venue to the GIS Student Day forum, which takes place on October 1 at the MTS Live Hall in St. Petersburg. These sessions aim to educate viewers on the differences between offensive and defensive security roles and the practical application of these skills in real-world scenarios.
